Cockington Cottages are attached to Lanscombe House, formerly the Dower House to Cockington Court manor house.
Originally a Manorial estate, beautiful Cockington Village has a thatched pub & restaurant, old forge, water mill, tea rooms, shops and visitor centre. A short stroll or horse drawn carriage ride will take you to the manor house, Cockington Court, with its Norman church, working craft centre, gardens and tea room. There are acres of country walks to enjoy and fabulous picnic spots.
The English Riviera consisting of the towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham is a popular tourist destination with so much to enjoy; a stunning coastline with sunny coves and blue flag beaches, boat trips, fabulous restaurants, bars & cafes, diverse tourist attractions including zoos, caves & a miniature village to name a few. Further afield: beautiful Dartmoor, National Trust properties, the delightful South Hams area and the popular cathedral city of Exeter and coastal city of Plymouth - both offering excellent shopping and further attractions. You'll be spoilt for choice!
Each cottage contains a box of leaflets for local attractions and we live in neighbouring Lanscombe House so are available to offer advice and make suggestions.
